Mr. Richard (Sandy) H Duncan
Mr. Sandy Duncan is a pioneer and expert in the solar streetlight industry. He has been in the solar lighting industry for 25 years building over 50,000 solar streetlights and other solar lighting systems. He started with and became Chief Operating Officer of Solar Outdoor Lighting (SOL), the first solar streetlight company in the world. They patented their design and created the solar streetlighting industry. As COO, Mr. Duncan managed sales and marketing, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and finance. He was integrally involved in all mechanical and electrical designs and initiated sourcing from China in 2004. Mr. Duncan left SOL in 2006, and in 2007, established Solex Energy Shanghai Co. Ltd located in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone living in Shanghai for over two years. Mr. Duncan has a local partner, Mr. Ma Shusheng, a respected engineer and pioneer in China’s solar industry. Together, they traveled throughout China visiting dozens of supplier factories sourcing the highest quality solar components for our solar streetlights. We ship these components, and others from around the world, to our factory in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone for assembly, consolidation of complete systems into containers, and shipment to Africa. We shipped over 7,000 solar streetlights from Shanghai to Africa.
Mr. Duncan returned to America and established Solar Streetlights Inc. Mr. Shusheng and Mr. Duncan have an alliance with one of China’s largest energy companies for factory space in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone along with workers and equipment as needed, a virtual factory. We provide completed solar streetlights consolidated into containers and shipped directly to the port of your choice at the lowest prices in the world. We have an alliance with the world’s largest pole manufacturer with factories in China. They make hot dipped galvanized steel poles which we can deliver to the port of your choice.

After graduating from Rollins College with a BA degree majoring in Business Administration, Mr. Duncan was recruited onto General Electric's Financial Management Program. Upon completion, he traveled on GE's prestigious Corporate Audit Staff three years. He worked 18 years as a GE financial manager including Mangager of Financial Planning for GE Capital. He left GE and became involved in the solar energy industry.
Mr. Ma Shusheng
Mr. Shusheng is an engineer and pioneer in the China solar panel industry. In 1999, he helped established Shanghai GoFly Solar Energy Company, one of China’s first solar panel companies. GoFly Group belonged to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which has China’s national PV laboratory. The lab leader, Prof. Cui Rong Qiang was the first general manager and Mr. Shusheng his assistant and sales manager. Prof. Cui is now a principal consultant for many of the largest solar companies in China, including Suntech, Yingli, and Trina. GoFly changed its name to Topsola in 2002 and Mr. Shusheng was manager of PV module production.
In 2004, Mr. Shusheng began sourcing solar panels for the German company Maass. They quickly became the largest buyer of solar panels from China. Maass merged with RPSE in 2005 and later changed their name to Colexon, who subsequently became one of six world wide distributors for First Solar. Mr. Shusheng joined Solex Energy Shanghai in 2007 as General Manager and is now in an alliance with Solar Streetlights Inc.
